Listen up scrubs! This game is easy. Here is a step by step guide showing you how to succeed. If you actually apply these changes to your game you will soon really like to play.
1. Take any fps skills you think you have and leave them at the door. This game requires thought.
2. Weapons here are more like their RL equivalents than what you may be used to. Except for sniper rifles, which only makes sense and for obvious reasons when you think about how big most maps are. Each weapon has a range it is best at where it will slaughter everyone else. Learn these ranges and you will suddenly be making scrubs rage quit all around the world.
3. Don't try to compare your suit to someone else's. Actually, never look at the kill screen at all except to see what killed you and from how far away. First chance you get add that weapon to your arsenal, and remember the situation to use on someone else.

4. While it may be tempting to stick a light weapon on a heavy suit, don't. Any decent player can run around you in circles and kill you with a militia light suit and a smg. Plus, everyone will make fun of you and send GG messages and say you QQ.
5. Unless you squad with some people who aren't total retards, it's best to avoid tanks. Tanks kill people? Well, what do you know. Some militia suits avoid scans and you can simply run right by. I'm at the point tanks don't see me unless I want them to.
6. Go for the assist. Some points are better than no points, don't be afraid to go kamikazee because it's fun and the game gives out ludicrous amounts of ISK even if you lose.
7. Stop trying so hard. If you are getting frustrated, do something funny like drive a LAV off a tower like I did once. But just remember, it's a game, and a free one at that.

Yes, Scrubby McScrubscrub, the RL equivalent of the rail rifle is the SCAR H .308 or AR 10.
And just like the rail rifle, everyone is switching to the .308 because it's better overall. That doesn't mean other weapons won't be better in mission specific roles, just that scrubs seem to be more effective in their scrubby endeavors with it.

With so many ways to play, those that find themselves receiving the GGs and writing the QQs need to ask themselves if this crappy nearly finished game is the true issue with their lives.
